Day 7: April 5, 2013
On our last day in Rome we had the majority of the day to kill before our flight left that evening. We wandered back to a few of our favorites places from the week to enjoy a little more time at each.
I adored the Trevi Fountain, so we stopped there.
A kind woman took our picture:
We also went back to the Parthenon, as it had been a favorite of Chris'.
After that, we headed to Campo de'Fiore, where there was an outdoor market there. It was lovely. We grabbed some pizza from Forno Campo de'Fiore as we had heard it was fabulous pizza. It was. In the market, there was a stand with lemoncello. We had samples of the 30% alcohol deliciousness. Well, I liked it, but Chris was not a fan.
We went to a coffee shop called Domiziano's that we had heard great things about. I had Kahlua and Bailey's in mine, and Chris had ice cream in his. A little something for everyone there ;)
We still had plenty of time to kill, and we were in Piazzo Navona, so we went back to a local restaurant called Cul de Sac where we had already stopped. Their wine selection is extensive and the food was excellent. We figured we couldn't go wrong with that! After that, it was time to leave. Neither of us really wanted to go, but we did what we had to do.
