We made it to the Kuwait airport around 3 am on January 2. I was home and in bed by 4:30. Maddy and I noticed a large crane in front of our building and didn't think much of it. There's new buildings going up across the street and road construction all over the place.
I woke up to some horrific noises at 11. I figured I may as well get up, since 4 am on Tuesday was going to come unbelievably early. (I was right - I got about 2 hours of sleep that night).
We had made plans to go get some groceries on Monday afternoon since we had all cleaned out our refrigerators before we left. This beautiful site greeted our eyes when we walked out of our building:
And this was our view when we got off the bus today. Special!!!! This is in front of the main teacher buildings. I live next door. Where's there's no bridge :)
My favorite fact of this whole new moat thing we have going on? The roads underneath it were paved and covered in sand, then dug up again. Genius planning is going on over here!
